Wanderings with paint & water...
When I first began painting, at the urging of my artistically brilliant sister-in-law, Leslie H. Carson, it felt like an act of bravery just to get paint on the paper! My creative experiences before painting had been in the art of music and theatre, so this felt quite new and sort of scary;-)
Over time, my love of painting has grown deeper and stronger. Living for many years now in the beautiful mountain town of Salida, CO has given me new and ever-growing appreciation for nature and all of her many offerings and surprises. The movement of the river, the vastness of the skies, the miles upon miles of trails and all the glorious mountains have inspired me more than I could have imagined.
Layering in my meditation practices and study of zen koans has helped me to truly appreciate the artistic process and to allow each painting to reveal itself as we go along. I also enjoy hearing how others respond to each piece...
